Delicia Cordon filed a lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend, Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy, for physically abusing her.
Cordon, who was assaulted in a house owned by McCoy in July, originally filed a lawsuit against him in August, claiming he physically disciplined his son and brutally beat his dog.
“On one occasion, McCoy beat his dog so badly, upon Plaintiff’s belief, the dog’s ribs had broken,” the lawsuit claims. “Whenever Plaintiff expressed concern about McCoy beating his dog, he would turn his anger against the Plaintiff, often grabbing Plaintiff and hurting her.”
The revised complaint included accusations of domestic violence.
“McCoy is extremely strong and was heavy-handed,” Cordon’s attorney, Tanya Mitchell Graham, wrote in the new complaint. “He would often grab (Cordon) in a manner that was painful and would leave (Cordon’s) skin reddened. McCoy did not care who was around when he would become enraged. McCoy once physically kicked (Cordon) out of the bed.”
According to the lawsuit, McCoy would frequently apologize for his behavior and buy Cordon gifts. Cordon loved McCoy and thought that he loved her, so she tried to make their relationship work. She also didn’t want to damage his reputation as a professional football player.
McCoy has continuously denied the allegations against him and is seeking a dismissal of the lawsuit.
When asked about the revised lawsuit, McCoy said, “I can’t control that. All I can do is just focus in on my team, try to get better and let the things off the field take care of themselves.”
“We’re not going to make this a whole interview about me off the field,” he added. “I spoke about that earlier. I’m not going to keep continuing to even address that. I addressed it one time. I feel the same. I’m trying to focus on my future. Is that all you have for me today?”
Cordon is seeking more than $10 million in damages from the lawsuit.
