Chris Brown has filed a defamation lawsuit against a woman who claims he and two other men raped her in his Paris hotel room this month.
Brown was arrested last Tuesday with the two other men for aggravated rape and drug violations. He was released just a few hours later with no charges against him.
“I wanna make it perfectly clear ….. This is false and a whole lot of CAP! [sic],” Brown wrote in all caps in a now-deleted Instagram post about the allegations. “… For my daughter and my family this is so disrespectful and is against my character and morals!!!!”
The alleged rape is said to have happened in Brown’s room at the Mandarin Oriental, which is near the Place Vendome. The woman additionally said that Brown’s friend and his bodyguard abused her.
Brown’s accuser said she met the singer through a friend who works at the Crystal Lounge on the Champs Elysee. She went with Brown to his hotel around 4 a.m. on January 16. The woman said there were about 15 other girls there and it was loud and chaotic in there. She continued to say that Brown followed her into the bathroom, grabbed her arm and made her enter a dressing room.
“It lasted 25 to 30 minutes. It’s still too difficult for me to explain in detail what he did, but it was brutal and violent,” she explained. “He was threatening and aggressive. I was very afraid. Once it was over, he opened the door. I told him that I wanted to pick up my cell phone and go home.”
The singer’s lawyer, Raphael Chiche, told several news outlets in a statement, “Chris Brown is free. No lawsuits were filed against him. He vigorously challenges the charges against him. A complaint for slanderous denunciation will be filed with the Public Prosecutor of Paris. The charges against Chris Brown have not been dropped and investigations are still going on but Chris Brown has not been sued by Prosecution.
