Caitlyn Jenner has been the subject of major controversy in the last few years, and no incident was more scrutinized than her 2015 four-car car crash in Malibu, California. The car accident resulted in the fatality of 70-year-old Kim Howe, an animal rights activist and actress. While Jenner was never charged with a crime in Howe’s death, a family involved in the car crash did hire a car accident lawyer and filed a lawsuit against the reality star.
Although accounts of the sequence of collisions have varied, as have the number of people injured, it is believed that Jenner’s SUV crashed into Howe’s Lexus while traveling on the Pacific Coast Highway. Jenner was never charged by the Los Angeles County District Attorney because an investigation into the headline-making car crash determined she was driving below the speed limit and had engaged her brakes before impact.

Maurer received $500,000, Peter and Lea received $100,000 and their two sons received $50,000 apiece.
According to court documents in the car crash legal case, Mauer suffered a cervical spine fracture as a result of the accident. Peter Wolf-Millesi had severe nerve injuries to his hands and wrists. Lea Wolf-Millesi suffered blunt trauma to her knees, as well as neck and back injuries and emotional distress. Nino Wolf-Millesi suffered blunt trauma and emotional distress. Gaetano Wolf-Millesi, who was 4 weeks old at the time, was hospitalized following the crash because he failed to respond to stimuli at the scene. However, doctors determined that he suffered no physical injuries, the paperwork said.
Jenner, who also had to hire a car accident lawyer, was also ordered to pay for the plaintiffs’ medical expenses and attorneys’ fees.
