Luann De Lesseps Drunk and Disorderly Conduct CaseReal Housewives of New York City star Luann de Lesseps was arrested early the morning of Christmas Eve in Palm Beach, Florida. She was taken into custody for drunk and disorderly conduct around 1:25 a.m. and arrested on charges of battery on an officer, disorderly intoxication, resisting arrest with violence and crimes against a person.

According to a police report, authorities responded to a report of an intoxicated female at the Colony Hotel on Dec. 24, 2017 and that a security guard said that a woman and another man had trespassed in someone’s room while a housekeeping staff member was completing a turn-down service. He said he entered and found the two in bed together. He said that for five minutes, he made multiple attempts to get them to leave, then called the police.

After police arrived, de Lesseps allegedly refused to leave the room and locked herself in the bathroom. After opening the door, she allegedly shoved an officer, resisted arrest and later “slipped out of her handcuffs” while in a patrol car. The report said that when they arrived at the police department, she was placed in a holding cell, after which she allegedly “stated again that she was ‘going to f–king kill all of you'” to the officers multiple times, reported E! News at the time. She was later taken to Palm Beach County Jail and was released without bond.

On Jan. 2, 2018, de Lesseps pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.

Following her arrest, de Lesseps, who had recently split  said, “This was my first time in Palm Beach since my wedding, and being here brought up long-buried emotions,” she told E! News in a statement at the time of her arrest. “I want to offer my sincere apologies to anyone I might have offended with my behavior.  I am committed to transformative and hopeful 2018.”

“After the events of last Saturday night in Palm Beach, I am truly embarrassed. I have decided to seek professional guidance and will be voluntarily checking into an alcohol treatment center. I intend to turn this unfortunate incident into a positive life changing event. Once again, I sincerely apologize for my actions. I have the greatest respect for police officers and the job they do. My actions alleged in the police report do not reflect my core values and my law abiding character,” she said in a statement.

“I am so grateful for the love and support that I am receiving from my family, friends and loyal supporters.”

She then checked into an alcohol treatment center where she completed a 21-day treatment program. On Jan. 25, 2018, she was charged with a third-degree felony.

On July 16, 2018, news broke that the reality star, who was trying to stay on the wagon, checked herself back into rehab after a recent relapse. She stayed for three weeks.

On July 23, 2018, the reality star struck a plea deal and pleaded guilty to three charges: battery, trespass and disorderly intoxication. The reality star agreed to being placed under one year probation under the state of New York and was required to pay all applicable fines and court costs. She also had to perform 50 hours of community service, attend two Alcohol Anonymous meetings per week and attend a Victim Impact Class by Mothers Against Drunk Drivers. She must also refrain from consuming any alcohol or illegal drugs and agreed to undergo random testing, reported E! News at the time.

Additionally, she had to submit a letter of apology to the officer she attacked, Deputy Steven O’Leary, which she has already done.
