Rob KardashianRob Kardashian and Blac Chyna, whose real name is Angela White, had problems since the beginning of their on-and-off relationship, but things escalated on July 5, 2017 when Kardashian took to social media to accuse his on-and-off fiance of infidelity and post explicit pictures of her. That action began a new war between the constantly warring exes that went straight to the courts.

Following the graphic incident, Chyna and her legal team accused Kardashian of violating California’s revenge porn laws, claiming in court documents that he allegedly hit her and threatened to kill himself multiple times. Chyna was then granted a set of restraining orders against Kardashian.

In September 2017, Kardashian accused Chyna of punching him in the face, attempting to strangle him with an iPhone charging cord and repeated blows to the head while they were staying at sister Kylie Jenner’s house in December 2016 (six months prior to the alleged revenge porn event). In the lawsuit, the reality star was suing his former flame for $500,000 in damages over the alleged incident. According to the suit, Kardashian’s siblings allege that Chyna made a “deliberate attempt to extort the Kardashian family for her own monetary gains,” and that having a child with Kardashian was “nothing short of an outright fraud to shake down the family.”

People reported that at the time, Chyna was willing to pay $5,000 for her part, including $250 for his ripped shirt. Kardashian would not agree to that.

In October, 2017, Chyna filed a lawsuit against Kardashian and his family for allegedly damaging her brand and verbally and physically abusing her. Chyna claimed she suffered “significant damages” after Kardashian’s social media tirade.

The complaint states, “Rob Kardashian is an abuser intent on destroying Angela White, the mother of his baby, who left him in 2016. In revenge, the Kardashian-Jenner family became media predators, slut-shaming her on social media and killing her hit television show, which had already begun filming a second season.”

The lawsuit continues, “Rob Kardashian and his powerful, vindictive family have done enough damage to Ms. White’s career and professional reputation, which she single handedly built from scratch—without the help of a famous last name. This lawsuit seeks to hold them accountable.”
Chyna also accused him of assault, which Kardashian has denied. He and his family have requested that the case be dismissed. According to court documents filed Dec. 27, 2017 in the Superior Court of Los Angeles, Kardashian “generally and specifically denies each of the allegations” and claims Chyna “did not suffer any injury or harm as a result of any conduct by [Kardashian].”

Chyna’s attorney gave a statement at the time that said, “We are confident that we will prevail on this motion and at trial.”

On Dec. 18, 2018, a judge recently granted Chyna a trial date, set for Feb. 3, 2020, with pre-trial depositions of Khloé Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner and Kylie to take place in the spring of 2019.

Meanwhile, over a year after Kardashian’s initial lawsuit, Chyna filed documents on Jan. 18, 2019 that her defense team believes bolsters her assertion that her ex-fiancé suffered “no physical injuries, no actionable psychological injuries” during the incident, reported by The Blast. The transcript showing that he liked to be scratched was filed in order to discredit claims that Chyna caused lasting physical damage during the argument.

In the deposition, Kardashian is quoted as saying, “Being scratched by a female is probably one of the best things a man could ask for.”

However, in the deposition, Kardashian allegedly went on to say, “It didn’t really occur to me that it was going to be, go into, you know, guns and strangling … I thought she was just being drunk, and you know, trying to be funny.”

On Jan. 18, 2019, Kardashian got a big win in his lawsuit after Judge Randolph M. Hammock denied Chyna’s “motion to reclassify” the case to a lower court because request for Kardashian’s $767,852 in damage exceeds the $25,000 minimum jurisdictional amount.

According to a report as of January 2019, Kardashian is now seeking $5,000 for property damage, $62,852 in security costs, $100,000 for pain, suffering and inconvenience, $100,000 for emotional distress and $500,000 in punitive damages.

In his ruling, Hammock wrote, “Plaintiff need only prove 3.3% of the $767,852 in damages he is seeking in order to meet the $25,000 jurisdictional amount,” reported Radar.

Chyna’s attorney Lynne M. Ciani of The Bloom Firm later told the outlet that the judge denied the motion due to “a technicality.”

“We respect the judge’s decision and look forward to filing our next motion with the Court proving that Rob Kardashian cannot recover any money damages from Chyna,” said.

Chyna has claimed she only caused $5000 in damage after destroying a television set and was willing to pay him if the case was transferred to a lower court—but Kardashian would not agree to her terms.
